Conveniently located near Freeport Municipal Park, we proudly serve as a hub for family fun, fitness, and community connection. Our recreation center is designed to be a welcoming space where individuals and families of all ages can stay active, build friendships, and create lasting memories together.

Our facility features a swimming pool, full-size basketball gym, fully equipped weight room, saunas, locker rooms, and showers—making it easy for everyone to find something they enjoy. Whether your child is participating in a youth program, your family is attending one of our signature annual events, or you’re taking time for your own fitness and wellness, the Rec Center offers opportunities for every stage of life.

The Recreation Center is open year-round, and we’re always happy to have extra helping hands! Just keep in mind that a few required forms will need to be completed and uploaded before volunteering.

Meet Our Staff

Annabella Ramirez

Recreation Center Supervisor

Annabella has over 12 years of experience in the Recreation Department. She began her career at the Recreation Center as a Recreation Attendant, advanced to Program Coordinator, and now serves as Recreation Center Supervisor. Raised in Freeport, she is passionate about providing engaging programs, supporting staff, and creating a welcoming environment for all visitors.

Annabella is also one of the City’s certified pool operators and is bilingual, helping ensure safe, inclusive, and accessible services for the community. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, shopping, working out at the Recreation Center, attending softball games with her family, and relaxing at the beach or by the pool. She takes pride in serving Freeport and bringing people together through fun and meaningful recreational opportunities.

Isabella Cespedes

Program Coordinator

Isabella joined the City in November 2024 as Program Coordinator for the Freeport Recreation Center. She enjoys creating new programs and planning events that bring people together while making the community feel welcoming for everyone. Isabella is also a certified pool operator and brings a variety of skills to her role, including strong organization, communication, and a passion for working with people of all ages—skills that help her make every program and event a success.

Outside of work, she stays active with yoga and barre classes and enjoys spending quality time with her family, traveling, shopping, and trying new restaurants. Isabella takes pride in serving Freeport and helping create meaningful and enjoyable experiences for the community.
