The City of Freeport invites residents and visitors to attend the 2026 Martin Luther King Jr. Day Grand Parade, honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. under the theme “Keeping the Dream Alive.”
The parade will take place on Monday, January 19, 2026, beginning at 11:00 a.m. in Downtown Freeport. The event will feature community organizations, local leaders, students, and civic groups coming together to celebrate unity, service, and Dr. King’s enduring message of equality and justice.
This annual celebration is a family-friendly event and an opportunity for the community to reflect on Dr. King’s impact while recognizing those who continue to carry his vision forward.
